Ambassador - Christine Hawksworth
​
Christine served for 7 years, during the 80s, in the Womens Royal Army Corps (WRAC). As a data-telegraphist she served alongside R Signals colleagues. Being gay led to arrest and investigation. The result was an intentional avoidance of military friends. "I was ashamed to have served and angry at the SIB treatment" 2018 was the year things changed Lifeworks recommended F4H which I did Feb 2019. I finally came home to my tribe and continue to support VCWP CIC in projects in Cumbria and North Yorkshire.

Volunteer Project Leader - Steve Hargreaves
​
Steve served in the Royal Air Force for 35 years as a Firefighter. Steve completed a F4H course in Summer of 2021 and met some of the working party on his last day. Steve returned as a working party volunteer shortly afterwards and has been an integral part of the team since.
Volunteer Project Leader - Tracey Nicholson
​
Tracey is married to Simon and has the patience of a saint. Her hard work and dedication to VCWP is commendable. Behind the scenes, Tracey helps with just about everything and is a wizz in the kitchen.
Photographer and Duty Driver - Simon Nicholson

Simon served in the Kings Own Border Royal Regiment for 8 years. Simon loves nature and collects footage from wild life cameras. He can often be found supporting with logistical errands and ensuring moral is kept high. Simon has supported the working party since the very beginning and is known for his theatrical performances.
Quarter Master - Mark Nussey
​
Mark servied in the Royal Airforce Regiment for 12 years. After attending a MAC at BattleBack Lilleshall, he was introduced to VCWP CIC by 2 other beneficiaries. Mark's attention to detail and love of numbers makes him the ideal person for the QM position. Make sure you sign everything in and out or he will be on the case!
